About

Hello, my name is Cristina. I am a graduate of the Stanford School of Medicine, Master of Science in Health and Prevention Research. I am also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and hold a MBA degree. Before this, I have worked for more than a decade in strategic planning and decision analysis for medical research and development, mainly on cancer and other debilitating, chronic diseases.

I am now devoting my knowledge and passion to “positive health” and disease prevention, from a comprehensive point of view and qualified by scientific research. Whether you would like to start by focusing on your customized plan for early disease detection, perhaps also based on your genetics, having a healthier home and environment, fertility/healthy pregnancy, a better eating plan or your little ones’ wellbeing, there’s always a great deal of information out there. But how do you trust it? How do you sift through it, synthesize and customize it to your needs? How scientifically sound is what you read on the internet? It would be easier if you could consult with a trusted health and wellness coach, working together to create a personalized healthy living and prevention plan, which you can run by your physician.

Without proper training, it is impossible to interpret and critically assess the type and quality of the myriad of existing research studies. Also, knowing how to access the scientific studies which are not freely available on the internet is critical. Unfortunately, there are many unidimensional “health coaches”, gurus and bloggers out there with phantom online diplomas or “google schooled” that offer advice without a scientific basis, or have a very poor or limited understanding of scientific literature, so please always exercise caution and don’t gamble with your health.
